So it was nice to catch up with Garrison and Corrine Doctor of Rep Your Water, which is based in Boulder, but sells apparel all over the world with regionally themed conservation messages. And the company gives 3 percent of its profits to conservation efforts, many of which benefit TU and the work we do to make fishing better. "Telling our customer base that we're a TU business partner matters to us, and it matters to them," Garrison said today from the IFTD show floor. "When we can share that, and the conservation messages that matter to our customers, it really makes a difference." Garrison isn't shy about tackling big issues, either. "When we can talk to people about things like climate change, it opens the door for dialogue," he said. "We realize we may alienate some people, but at least we are opening that channel and having discussions about this important issue." Garrison and Corrine both help TU on the local level—Rep Your Water helps put on the Bash for Boulder Creek in their community, and both of them have represented TU in various capacities. Corrine serves on the board for Colorado Trout Unlimited, and she was the face and voice for TU in Denver during the recent World Fishing Day. Garrison helped film a series of winter "Trout Tips" for us earlier this year. Additionally, Rep Your Water has been a long-time supporter of TU's Embrace-a-Stream program, and they're currently helping Montana TU with an apparel line aimed at helping protect the Treasure State's water resources. — Chris Hunt
