Yellow My Fellow Fly Fisherman

Because the Steelhead are running Lake Erie and Lake Ontario tributaries right now, I will keep this post short in the interest of time. There are many colors and patterns that professional fly tyers, retailers and fly fishing pro's alike claim to be the best color or pattern to make big lake run fish bite. The one color and pattern not tied often, not sold often in retail stores or even spoken about by many is the Yellow Bugger. As a Licensed Guide in NYS fishing the above mentioned tributaries, I can say with great certainty that the Yellow Bugger is a deadly fly that draws strikes from big fish on a consistant basis. Put a Yellow Bugger in your box on the next trip to the creek and give it a try.
