On Saturday January 16, 2016, RVTU had a fishing outing to Monocacy Creek in eastern Pennsylvannia not far from the NJ state line. On the evening of Saturday December 19th 2015, Ridge and Valley Trout Unlimited (RVTU) hosted their annual potluck fundraiser.  Approximately 60 people attended and brought a contribution for dinner and dessert.  A fun time eating, drinking, and being merry was had by all.  The fundraiser netted $ [ READ MORE... ]

On Saturday October 24th, 2015, volunteers from Ridge and Valley and Hacklebarney TU joined forces to clean the Rockaway River in Dover, NJ.  They worked with Dover DPW employees to remove 6 truckloads of trash from the Rockaway River.   Among the trash removed was discarded couches, bikes, tires, [ READ MORE... ]

On September 26th, 2015 Ridge & Valley TU partnered with the Lopatcong Creek Initiative to clean a stretch of the Lopatcong Creek in Phillipsburg, NJ. On Saturday August 15th 2015, Ridge and Valley volunteers built a new angler parking lot.  This lot is located behind the old Cliffdale Inn (1280 Rt. 57) in Port Murray, NJ, and provides another fishing access point to the Musconetcong River. The chapter is only a few days from adding spawning gravels and monitoring 15 sites in West Portal Brook, a tributary of the Musconetcong River (Musky).     Spawning gravels in bucket.jpg   Volunteers will dig out a depression in the stream bottom near the tail outs of certain pools.   [ READ MORE... ]
