April Meeting

Wednesday, April 20th at 7 pm.

Join us for the April meeting in the Headwaters of the Yakima, as we put the planning and execution phases of the Teanaway plan into action. We are planning to meet outside, in the Teanaway Community Forest, at the Middle Fork
Campground. See the map below for directions. Please be prepared for weather, and if you'd like to camp out under the stars, make plans! We are working on an alternate location in the event of inclement weather. At the April meeting, we'll cover Chapter business, including financial and membership updates. The Conservation Committee will be planning future work days and events. Stick around after the meeting for campfire and sleep under the stars!

We'll be visiting existing temperature monitoring sites and developing future sites for placement. This will be a limited RSVP event so please contact Nathanial (yrhtu090@gmail.com) to ensure you are on the list of participants.

President's Update
We're officially one-year into the future of the headwaters, and your support has already made a big
difference in the health and sustainability of the Yakima River. Thank you for being a TU member, for
volunteering your time and financial support, and sharing in conservation work where you fish - it does
matter!

Join us this month for the start of our outdoor meeting series, beginning the Teanaway project work and
planning. Spend the day getting to know the topography, ecosystem, and work sites for our summertime
work restoring habitat, studying fish populations, and learning valuable "how to" skills.
Stick around after the meeting for campfire and sleep under the stars!
Derek Young
President, Yakima River Headwaters TU
