Wild Steelheaders United Sponsors Credo Contest for TU Chapter

Join Wild Steelheaders United Today

What:

A fun competition between Trout Unlimited chapters to sign up new supporters for Wild Steelheaders United.

Who:

Any Trout Unlimited Chapter

Why:

To reach our goal of protecting and restoring wild steelhead and their habitat all across their native range, Wild Steelheaders United must continue to grow our support base. This competition is a fun and friendly way to educate TU members and other anglers about the Wild Steelhead Initiative, the current status of wild steelhead from California to Idaho, and the importance of a united angling community in support of wild steelhead.

Rules:

The winner of this competition will be that chapter which has the highest percentage of its members who have signed the WSU Credo by September 15, 2015. You can sign up here

For example: if the Ted Trueblood Chapter has 540 members and they get 347 of their members to sign the WSU Credo before September 15, they will have 64.25% of their membership supporting the Wild Steelhead Initiative.

Each participating chapter can download the film Wild Reverence, a copy of the Credo, rules of the competition with sponsor logos, a sticker, and a stamped envelope for returning the list of WSU Credo signers.

Calculation of competition results will be based on comparison of current chapter rosters to Credo signers lists. Chapter members who have already signed the WSU Credo prior to this competition will be included in the calculation.

There are no restrictions on the strategies or incentives chapters can use to encourage new supports of the Wild Steelhead Initiative – be creative!

How:

To join your chapter in this contest, contact Dwayne Meadows, Trout Unlimited Pacific Northwest Outreach Coordinator (dmeadows@tu.org).  The winner will be announced on September 16th.

The Award:

The winning chapter will be awarded a Sage One 7wt 12’6” Spey Rod and a guided day on the Oregon Coast for winter steelhead with Frigate Travel
