It allows students to raise trout from eggs to fingerlings begining in October and then release them into watershed streams in the spring.Throuough the school year students study trout biology and ecology, learn and participate in water quality testing and then release the trout into the streams that provide over 9 million NYC residents with the unfiltered water that they drink.
