Video spotlight: Hook basics—shapes and proportions

I'm loving this ongoing series on "Hook Basics" done by Tim Flagler of Tightline Media and sponsored by Orvis. These simple videos are particularly salient to new fly tiers who might struggle at the fly shop in search of the right hook for the right fly.

There are tons of choices for hooks when it comes to fly tying, and the choices can be a bit intimidating. Above, Tim works to simplify the process by explaining which hooks work for various fly patterns. It's an easy-to-understand primer, and should soften the learning curve for anglers who are new or inexperienced at the vise.
