I'd go with the Orvis one

it looks to me to be stronger and with less moving parts that can complicate tying. 

In general, I would look for the most stable vise, regardless of all the options these ones with various joints give you, if those joints aren't solid when locked, they are just going to be a problem when tying.

But that's just my opinion.

From a conservation standpoint, I think Orvis is ahead of Bass Pro Shops in coldwater fisheries conservation support, which is a consideration for me when buying products.

Thanks salmonblog for the suggestion... I think I might save my money and get a better one, maybe a PEAK or RENZETTI but if I can get the money then I will buy the orvis one.
