Time: 9:00 AM meet in the Center
Noon – Picnic for members and their family
 
One of the key elements of a successful TU Chapter is an effective program in Conservation is  to improve cold water resources by engaging in projects such as stream restoration/clean-up.

I am encouraging all members of our BRTU Chapter to take this conservation effort to heart and come out for this clean-up the stream effort.
 
Because, the stocking of the streams of Delayed Harvest begins in October,  BRTU members are urged to participate in this stream clean up.  (The fish and would like a clean stream). NOTE: This Environmental Center has been reserved for the day for the Blue Ridge Trout Unlimited members.
 
Please bring gloves and rakes, we will have the bags for the trash.  The Mt. Airy Parks and Recreation Department has been notified and will pick up our “collected items”.  The Assistant Director of the Mt. Airy Parks and Recreation, Darren Lewis has been invited to the picnic.  So let us show him a how committed we are and have a great turnout.
Following the clean-up at noon, we will have hot dogs and hamburgers (provided by our BRTU Chapter) for the volunteers and their family. Please bring a food item to share!
