Trout Unlmited's Eastern Sportsmen Organizer Paula Piatt will be presenting "Shared Habitat in the Eastern Shale Gas Region" to the Central Jersey Chapter of TU on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014 at the American Legion Hall,137 New Market Road, Dunellen, NJ. The meeting begins at 8 pm.
The program focuses on the potential impacts of shale gas drilling and its associated construction activities, such as pipelines, on fish and wildlife habitats, and the sportsman's experience, as well as ways sportsmen can protect the habitat, while at the same time supporting responsible energy development. Current state and federal legislation affecting sportsmen and women and habitat issues will also be discussed.
