Submitted by MeganMooney on Mon, 2015-04-06 11:45 Groups audience Deschutes - 552 Vote Up Down +27 + Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 - 1:00am to Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 - 3:00am Please join The Deschutes Chapter of Trout Unlimited at the Volcanic Theater Pub (70 SW Century Dr, Bend, OR 97702) for an evening of presentations from Mike Finley, CEO of the Turner Foundation and Chair of Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODF&W) Commissioners and Curt Melcher, Director of ODF&W Mike Finley will speak to broader national conservation issues such as the need to protect the Federal Endangered Species Act, the importance of public lands and the need for hunters and anglers to promote their long term federal protection, and how the Clean Water Rule is being developed by the EPA and its importance to the protection of wetlands and streams. Curt Melcher, will be discussing his management goals for ODF&W, the current budget proposal for the fiscal year 2015-2017, current legislative issues associated with ODF&W, and Oregon fishing regulations.
