A small stream with relatively easy access from the parking area for State Game Lands 135 (does require about 200 yards through the woods and brush to reach the stream. Due to the high water I wasn't able to explore the beaver dams on the lower portion of the stream, but given the productivity of the small area I did fish at the upper end of the beaver influenced area (5 brook trout to net in 20 minutes with that many more missed or lost in the same time period) I am making a return trip to explore. The portion of the stream I fished was wide and open enough to allow the use of an 8.5' rod. I was very successful using a size 12 parachute hopper and a good drift. Hope you all get a chance to get out on the water for the holiday weekend.
