May 4, 2015 Cranberry Creek

I couldn't pass up heading out on such a beautiful day, the sun was shining with temperatures in the high 70's.  The stream was running low and clear so stealth was a priority as was shortening my leader.  I tied on a size 12 AK Best's Parachute Quill Gordon and proceed to catch and release 5 trout in about an hour (4 browns and one brook trout) not to mention the two I missed and the one almost stepped on.  As a bonus, on my way out I had the wits scared out of me by a woodcock I pratically tripped over before he took off.
