Concrete removal at the Menomonee River

Groups audience
Concrete removal at the Menomonee River
The project will open 30+ miles of the Menomonee River and its tributaries to fish passage out of Lake Michigan, and should allow species such as trout and salmon to get as far upstream as Menomonee Falls, opening a huge fishery to anadromous fish runs. The project is seeing millions of dollars being brought into the heart of Milwaukee, and will benefit communities from Milwaukee to Wauwatosa to Butler to Menomonee Falls, and will create a large fishery right through very accessible parks and public areas.
