Winkler, probably best known for his work as “The Fonz” on TV’s “Happy Days,” is still doing television, and appears regularly on USA Network’s “Royal Pains.” He’s written a new book titled, “I’ve Never Met an Idiot on the River.” Wood’s short conversation with Winkler includes the actor reading a bit from his book, and discussions on everything from fly fishing the Firehole River to the “Happy Days” traveling softball team. “Henry Winkler is an icon of American television, and I especially appreciate that he’s a fly fisherman with a sense of humor,” Wood said. “We should all approach the craft the way Henry does.” Listen to all of TU’s podcasts to learn more about the work TU and its grassroots volunteers are doing to protect, reconnect, restore and sustain our country’s coldwater fisheries. Trout Unlimited is a private, non-profit organization with more than 140,000 members dedicated to conserving, protecting and restoring North America’s trout and salmon fisheries and their watersheds.
