About us

Reilly Rod Crafters was born out of a passion for fishing that has spanned several generations. Collectively, our core team has over 250 years of fishing experience, over 100 years of design experience, and over 60 years of manufacturing experience. Our team members hold over 100 IGFA world records, some are members of the various Hall of Fames, and we are heavily involved with conservation organizations and the media. We have been actively involved in almost every style of fishing but, when we feel the need to seek that inner peace and reconnect with our maker, we reach for our long rods and head to the nearest stream, river, or salt flat.

What we do

At Reilly Rod Crafters, we are committed to making premium fly rods for the best possible value right here in the United States. We want your experiences with our rods to be every bit as pleasurable as ours has been. We know how difficult it can be these days to get out of the office, shop, home, or classroom. When you do, you want to have the best possible gear so your time outdoors is optimized. We want you to spend more time focused on the whole fishing experience, NOT malfunctioning gear or even your casting. All of our rods are designed, tested, and approved by our “Legends”. Every design decision, from taper, reel seat, number of stripping guides, even the color is either made or approved by these guys and is backed up by 70+ years of guiding experience. If you want rods that are endlessly forgiving, that will make quick and accurate presentations from 10’ to 70’, regardless of your skill level, and give you all of the reserve power needed to effectively and safely land your prize, I encourage you to try our rods. You will fall in love all over again!

Where we do it

Reilly Rod Crafters is ideally located in central Virginia within striking distance to native brook trout streams in the Shenandoah National Park, The Rivanna and James rivers, and the Chesapeake Bay!
