Michael is the Idaho Field Coordinator for Trout Unlimited’s Sportsmen Conservation Project. Michael works on a number of landscape campaigns in Idaho including the High Divide Planning effort in the upper Salmon River drainage and serves on the Payette Forest Coalition. He is also an advocate for public lands, trout and sportsmen issues in the Idaho State Legislature. Michael moved to Boise from Missoula, Montana where he was a fishing guide, outdoor television producer and, for nine years, the Outreach Director for Montana Trout Unlimited. Upon moving to Boise, Michael worked on contract for the Idaho Wildlife Federation on campaigns in the Boulder-White Clouds as well as protecting bighorn sheep populations and their habitat. He holds a BA in Zoology from the University of Montana. He lives in Boise with his wife Elizabeth, his bird dog Zeb and a schnauzer named Pepper.
