Upper Snake River Basin Multispecies Aquatic Assessment

Goose Creek has some of the highest fish diversity in the Upper Snake River Basin due to the occurrence of Yellowstone cutthroat trout, northern leatherside chub, and bluehead sucker, as demonstrated by a multispecies aquatic assessment focused on identifying potential Native Fish Conservation Areas in the Upper Snake River Basin, a joint project between Trout Unlimited and the Federation of Fly Fishers.

The study is accepted for publication in a book forthcoming in 2019:

Williams, R.N., D.C. Dauwalter, R.F. Thurow, D.P. Philipp, J.E. Williams, and C.A. Walser. 2019. Identification and utility of native fish conservation areas in the Upper Snake River basin. Pages XXX - XXX in D.C. Dauwalter, T.W. Birdsong, and G.P. Garrett, editors. Multispecies and watershed approaches to freshwater fish conservation. American Fisheries Society, Bethesda, Maryland.
