Goose Creek has some of the highest fish diversity in the Upper Snake River Basin due to the occurrence of Yellowstone cutthroat trout, northern leatherside chub, and bluehead sucker, as demonstrated by a multispecies aquatic assessment focused on identifying potential Native Fish Conservation Areas in the Upper Snake River Basin, a joint project between Trout Unlimited and the Federation of Fly Fishers.
