Annual Meeting Fishing Day Fast Approaching!

The dates of the Annual TU Meeting in Bozeman are fast approaching, and the fishing is improving every day!  Southwest Montana has been receiving much needed cooler weather and precipitation, some of it in the form of snow in the mountains, and the trout are responding!  Much of the Yellowtone River has re-opened, and the sections that have re-opened are fishng well.  As I write this, there's still a stretch of the Yellowstone River that remains closed, but there's a possibility that all of the Yellowstone River will be open by the time of the Annual Meeting Fishing Day on Wednesday,  September 28th. I've had the opportunity to fish the re-opened section of the Yellowstone below Gardiner several times in the past two weeks, and the trout and the Mountain Whitefish are healthy and happy!  In addition to the re-opening of the Yellowstone, hoot owl fishing restrtictions have been removed on the Madison, the Gallatin, and the East Gallatin.

We're pleased to report that signups for the Annual Meeting Fishing Day are over 75 anglers making it the largest Fishing Day event in the history of TU Annual Meetings!  We're gong to have a great time fishing on the Bozeman area rivers!
