Annual Meeting Fishing Update July 18

TU'ers are taking advantage of some great fall fishing opportunites in the fly fishing for trout capitol of the world, Bozeman, MT.  We have over 80 TU anglers signed up for the Fishing Day on September 28th! 

We have reserved a couple of private water creeks for TU Annual Meeting attendees.  DePuy's Spring Creek is one of the world's finest spring creek fisheries.  Located a few miles south of Livingston in the spectacular Paradise Valley, DePuy's should be fishing well during our meeting, and the Blue Wing Olives will be hatching.  DePuy's has been reserved by Madison-Gallatin Trout Unlimited Chapter, and all 16 rods are available.  As of today, 7/18, we have 11 of the 16 rods full!  If you are interested in fishing DePuy's, better get signed up now!

The other private water creek we reserved is Willow Creek.  Willow is a classic western freestone stream tributary of the Jefferson.  Only 5 rods are available on Willow Creek, and as of today, 7/18, WILLOW CREEK IS FULL! 

I mentioned in the previous post that we've been having some warm weather on top of low water which has precipitated some "hoot owl" river closures which means no noon to midnight fishing.  Fortunately, Mother Nature has helped out by providing some rain and cooler weather, and all of our river flows have improved and water temperatures have dropped.  Great news!  These closures will definitely be gone by the time of our meeting.
