Brodhead Chapter Trout in the Classroom Update

The Brodhead Chapter continues to support a Trout in the Classroom program at Swiftwater In-termediate School in Swiftwater, PA. Approximately 60 brook trout have hatched and reached 3 inches in length. The students learned about the need for cold, clean waters to support wild trout and their growth. They learned about optimal temperatures, flowing water, pollution and other fac-tors that impact upon the growth of brook trout. Fingerlings will be released into the McMichaels Creek some time in early June As you can see, the fish are starting to get their colors!
