For several years, TU’s Cary Denison has been working in the Gunnison River valley with local agriculture producers to improve water management in ways that benefit farm operations as well as rivers, fish and the growing recreation economy. Not so long ago, you would have been hard pressed to find conservation groups and agriculture working together. But with ever-diminishing water levels in Lake Mead, most people realize the urgency of working together to protect flows in the Colorado River Basin. Indeed, partnerships and conservation are the future of water in the West. We’re truly all in this together. For a glimpse of that future, check out this new TU video that showcases several Colorado farmers who are putting water-saving innovations to work on their farms: No Time to Waste
