Trout Unlimited and Catoctin Mountain Park need your help planting 400 trees in the brookie1.jpeg headwaters of Owens Creek. Owens Creek harbors the strongest population of brook trout in the Park. Please join us on October 12th from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the planting site (directions below). Please RSVP by October 9th to Kevin Anderson (kanderson@tu.org) or Noel Gollehon (n gollehon@comcast.net) to give us an idea of how many volunteers to expect. This will ensure that we have your contact information in case we need to reschedule due to poor weather. Equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring shovels and gloves. Many of the holes have already been machine-augured, which should speed up the event. Attendees will receive a coupon for $25 off the price of a native tree! Questions?
