"It's the Academy Awards of the fly fishing industry," explains Tom Sadler, the president of the Massanutten TU chapter in Harrisonburg, Va., and a guide at Mossy Creek Fly Fishing in Harrisonburg. So it's no surprise that Sadler was especially happy when Brian and Colby Trow, owners of Mossy Creek Fly Fishing, were honored with two awards during this year's event. The twin brothers and TU Endorsed Business Partners are the stars of the highly regarded fly fishing film, "Blood Knot," and the film won both The Drake's "Best Freshwater Film" and the "Best Fly Fishing Film" awards. Blood Knot [Trailer] As TU's Endorsed Business Program Director Walt Gasson Explained, "it's always good to see someone in the TU family earn recognition for their work. And the Trow brothers are more than just fly fishing film stars--they are active TU volunteers who donate both time an money to on-the-ground restoration work in the Shenandoah Valley. Most recently, they've helped complete projects on Mossy Creek itself--a legendary VIrginia spring creek home to massive brown and rainbow trout and perhaps the best trophy trout fishing in the mid-Atlantic region. Congratulations to the Trow brothers on a much-deserved honor. TU is especially proud of them, knowing that their passion for angling will continue to translate into good work to protect and restore Virginia's trout waters and making fishing better for everyone.
