It may not be the the wide open, mountain stream fly fishing you can find out west... not to mention you're always competing with the worm and bobber crowd, but it gives all of us a opportunity to cast a fly in quest for a rainbow or brown. I caught this brown plus a few more near Bellevue, IA. Lots of brush to contend with--but it gave me a chance to learn to cast into tight areas. The Iowa DNR also has a great website that is helpful in finding streams and aids in fly selection.
