We meet in the downstairs family section, so all ages are welcome. Spend a day fishing in the area, then join us for food & drinks and a full agenda for the evening. First, an update on our charter and presentation of the Board, followed by a presentation from Mid-Columbia Fisheries on their Stream Stewards program and other conservation work in the Yakima Basin. Here's a link for more information: http://midcolumbiarfeg.com/what-we-do/instream-habitat-improvement/ We'll wrap up with a review of strategy for 2015 and planning the rest of the year's meetings, conservation work, and volunteer opportunities. The Nature Conservancy is also seeking public comment on their recent purchase of land in the Headwaters, near Snoqualmie Pass. If you're interested in contributing to the discussion on planning the future of forestlands in the area, The Nature Conservancy is hosting a series of meetings in the area about a planned aquisition of 48,000 acres of land in the Central Cascades. The headwaters of the Yakima River begin in Upper Kittitas County, near Snoqualmie Pass and this location.
