MDTU Muddy Creek Fishing Outing: March 25

Muddy Creek Fishing Outing

Sunday March 25th

Join fellow MDTU members as we explore the Fly Fishing Only section of Muddy Creek, a tributary of the Susquehanna, in Southern Pennsylvania. This outing is an opportunity to visit a great local fishery (other than the Gunpowder) and showcase the great work of our neighbors in the Muddy Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited. This stream section will have been float-stocked with rainbows and brown trout and also contains holdover browns. Some of the nearby tributaries have thriving wild brown trout populations too. This is a gorgeous and fun place to fish and we hope you will join us. The area we will be fishing is similar in size to sections of the lower Gunpowder.

Details: Space is limited, so advance RSVP/registration is required. Participants will meet at the Mt. Carmel Road/I-83 Park N’ Ride at 7:00am to car caravan or carpool. The stream is about a 30-minute drive from there. Bring your own waders, license, and gear. (PA license required; annual and daily licenses are available online here) Space is limited to eight anglers. Outings are intended for current TU members, though guests interested in learning more about TU are always welcome.
