The Next Generation of Bristol Bay Guides

This June, twelve young Bristol Bay residents, gathered at Mission Lodge on Lake Aleknagik for a week-long, on river course that helped develop their skills as guides, taught them how to fly fish and got into some nitty-gritty discussions on the dynamics between fishing (whether with a net or rod and reel) and conservation.  This video is a great way to see what this innovative program is all about.  Its a small piece of building a sustainable economic future for Bristol Bay that is built on healthy salmon.

What a great program. I can't wait to get a chance to fish with some of these bright young guides!
