Only in Dreams I dream of a babbling brook Untouched by man That meanders through the countryside But this is only in dreams I dream of the purest trout With colors more exquisite than those of a fine painting That sip on caddis ‘til the sun sets, staining the sky with reds and yellows But this is only in dreams I dream of a young pup prancing by my side He nips at my ankles hoping to get a glance at a fish His tail never ceases to sway back and forth like a wind blown hammock But this is only in dreams I dream of a place where mountains humble those who gaze upon them Their landscapes molded by the hands of God This is a place that everyone seeks But this is only in dreams I dream of climbing to the summits of these mountains I look down at the serene valley below And I reminisce on the journey called life But this is only in dreams
