Road Trip!

Jackson, Laramie, Cheyenne and Casper. Fort Collins, Logan, Park City and Durango.

It's an itinerary worthy of the best spur-of-the-moment summer fishing tour of the intermountain West, but the search this time is not for trout, but for trout anglers. Avid anglers and other sportsmen and women willing to help us protect one of the country's most amazing places.  The "Green with Envy" roadshow begins tonight at the Wort Hotel in Jackson, Wyoming. TU stalwarts Charlie Card, a Green River fishing guide, and Walt Gasson, a native of the area, are touring Wyoming, Utah and Colorado to show the film "Green with Envy" and speak about the misguided pipeline proposal that would take billions of gallons of water annually from the Green and pump it to the Front Range of Colorado. The film, propduced for TU by Kris Millgate of Tight Line Media, explores a true fishing paradise, and details the reasons why this proposal is such a threat, both to the fishing and a thriving local economy.  The shows are free, refreshments will be provided and some lucky member of the audience will win a guided fishing trip on the legendary Green. Visit www.ourdamwater.org to find the date and time of the roadshow stop nearest you, and then do your part. Come out, see the show and celebrate all that's great about taking a road trip. Then help us as we work to put a plug in this outrageous and damaging proposal.

I just read that communities in the Front Range (Greeley, Windsor, Ft. Lupton) are selling municipal water to the oil and gas industry for fracking wells. What's wrong with this picture? They say they don't have enough water, but they've got enough to sell it to drillers? No pipeline - no way!
