That's the message from Jason Amaro, TU's New Mexico sportsmen coordinator, who recently produced this passionate video plea for hunters and anglers to get involved in issues affecting their outdoor opportunities on public lands. Jason is speaking here to New Mexico sportsmen, but his message applies to all of us who hunt, fish and play outdoors: If we don't get involved in public land use decisions on issues like forest management and access, others will make those decisions for us. And we just might wake up one morning and find that our best outdoor opportunities have vanished or been locked up. It's up to us to pay attention, attend meetings, speak out and write letters.
