Submitted by paula_piatt on Wed, 2014-01-29 07:26 Eastern Shale Gas Vote Up Down +7 + SWPA slide cover.jpg Trout Unlimited and the Sportsmen Alliance for Marcellus Conservation are hosting a Sportsman’s Mini-Summit on Wednesday, March 5 at 7 p.m. at the Canonsburg Sportsman’s Association, Allison Hollow Road, in Canonsburg, Pa. With the theme, "Planning for Wildlife After Shale Gas Drilling," our guest speaker will be Doug Dunkerely, Southwest Regional Land Manager for the Pennsylvania Game Commission. He will be speaking about current drilling and infrastructure activity on state Game Lands and the current reclamation status. He will also review the current reclamation requirements for state land, as well as what sportsmen can do on their own lands when it comes to revegetation. Additionally, information will be available about legislation pending in Pennsylvania that will affect sportsmen and women. The mini-summit is free and open to the public.
