But this time is... different. I was fortunate enough to lead a blogger/writer/photographer tour to the Tongass National Forest on behalf of TU and out Tongass 77 Campaign in mid-July, and while I've been home for a bit, I can't help but reminisce on the week spent chasing salmon and char under the canopy of the rainforest outside of Juneau. Thankfully, the journalists on the tour can't seem to help but look back on their time in the Tongass, too. Already, a few of them have chimed in with blog posts and photos that are just breathtaking. And, they all have one thing in common--the magic of the Tongass has clearly gripped their souls, just as it did mine when I first fished Southeast Alaska almost a decade ago.
