From the MA Division of Ecological Restoration- "Traphole Brook is a Coldwater Fishery Resource that joins the Neponset River in Norwood. Naturally-reproducing eastern brook trout and brown trout have been documented in the brook by MassWildlife. The Traphole Brook Restoration involves removal of a small, Town-owned masonry dam from the brook within William Pezwick Park. This project will increase the storm resiliency of an important town road at the head of the impoundment." Below are two views of the project. First photo was taken 1/13/2022. Second photo taken 6/5/2022. More pictures of the project by GBTU member Sterling Worrell here. dam-before-small.jpg dam-after-small.jpg
