The Dec. 14 workshop in Hillsborough, N.J., is designed to help local, regional and state stakeholders gain a better understanding of the risk of flooding to infrastructure, and of strategies to address flood damage and properly address repairs while protecting sensitive stream environments. Topics to be covered include: •basic stream and river functions •infrastructure vulnerability •strategies to decrease vulnerability and increase resiliency •overview of funding programs, including FEMA programs •successful flood-ready programs in neighboring states •post-disaster best practices •flood preparation The webinar is Dec. 7, from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. The workshop will include a morning classroom session and afternoon site visit to a local restoration project area.
