TU VSP at Slough Creek-Day 1

Day 1 at the ranch on Slough Creek was wonderful! We had beautiful weather, the Cutthroat trout of Slough Creek were ready to play, and the Green Drake mayflies and Golden Stoneflies obliged them. All our veteran couples caught fish on dry flies, and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The women out fished the men! Among our veteran couples, the ladies caught the first trout of the day in 4 out of 5 couples. The Bison of Yellowstone Park provided some entertainment, too. We had 3 jump the ranch fence and graze through the meadow in front of the main lodge only a few yards away. Day 2 has dawned clear, and while it is 39 degrees at 5:30AM, it will reach near 80 this afternoon.
