TU VSP Couples on Slough Creek-Day 2

Day 2 of the Veterans Service Partnership Couples trip. Slough Creek was on fire! Green Drakes were hatching and the Slough Creek Cutthroat were chowing down. It was a superb day of dry fly fishing. On day 1, we had an informal, fun contest over who would catch the first fish. Among our 5 veteran couples, the women won 4 to 1! Yesterday, we had another contest over who would catch the biggest trout. I had the pleasure of fishing with TJ Conners and Kara French. In the morning, 4 of the women went horseback riding. So, the men had a clear advantage with 5 of them fishing against 1 women. TJ caught a very nice 20" Yellowstone cutthroat,, but in the afternoon, after horseback riding and lunch, we went back out and Kara matched TJ's 20" fish! Day 3 has dawned with a few clouds in the sky, but it is supposed to reach 79 degrees at nearby Cooke City. It should be another glorious day on Slough Creek!
