The trip offers the veteran couple a chance to experience together the superb fly fishing for Yellowstone cutthroat trout on Slough Creek, to go horseback riding and hiking, enjoy comfortable accommodations, and great food at a private guest ranch. More importantly, the trip offers a veteran couple the chance to spend time together, to decompress, and an opportunity to connect with other veteran couples. …. I watched him casting in the water, I watched him bubble with pride when he caught his first cutthroat trout. I watched stress roll off his body and something was very different, but so very familiar. I saw my husband as he was… before his life had been affected by his time in combat….. I have never felt so uplifted by a single group of people, as I did when my husband and I were privileged to participate in a couple’s fly fishing trip to Silvertip Ranch through the Veterans Service Partnership….
