What do you think is the most common fly in the boxes of anglers throughout the world? Of course, I always get the “If you had ONE fly…” question, and the answer I usually give is that it depends on the time and place. T he one fly I’d choose on the Snake River in September is, naturally, going to be different than the one fly I’d choose on the Delaware in April. But if you pinned me down, I’d say one pattern would be in the mix as the answer to all those questions: The Muddler Minnow.
