I'm an almond kind of guy. I go for wasabi or jalepeño almonds in the little packs.

My favorite kind is the either deer jerky or beef jerky chew. It is light weights and compact and plus the cans can be used after you have eaten all of it you can make a little survival kit.

Bacon.  Is there any time that's not the perfect time for these magical strips of cured pork-belly?  After frying up a pound for breakfast, and enjoying the over-easy eggs fried in a sizzling pool of bacon grease, the leftover bacon goes into a ziploc, and into my trout vest for the day.  Kinda like pig jerky.

Trail mix is always good, cashews, almonds, peanuts, m&ms, raisins, and kix, can't go wrong. Cliff Bars are good too, plenty of extra energy when you need it for a long hike back.

How about some deer jerky.  And some good salted nuts and drink. That's all you need for the day of fishing. But thats me guy's and gal's. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Be safe traveling to where ever you may go.

Best Regards, Ken
