Doug, who has a camp just up the road from the famous “spring hole”, is currently writing a book on fishing the Battenkill for Stackpole. An ardent conservationist and supporter of the Battenkill Home Rivers Initiative, Doug has been a key figure in the Battenkill Watershed Alliance which has been responsible for numerous successful habitat restoration projects, especially on the VT side.
