With the help of the city, the Ohio Division of Wildlife and many other groups, a trout fishery was established in 2005 and maintained since then in Apple Creek at Wooster’s Grosjean Park. Each tear the stream attracts well over a thousand visits from fly anglers from throughout Ohio, serves as the site where the CFRTU holds its fly fishing clinics each fall, and where students participating in the Trout in the Classroom program release their fingerlings and where macroinvertebrate surveys are conducted. Nault grew up in Northern California where he graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a B.S. in Entomology. From there he attended Cornell University where he earned his M.S. and PhD. He then joined the faculty in the Department of Entomology at The Ohio State University on the Wooster campus in 1966. While at OSU he served as Associate Chair of the Department and as Associate Director of the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center. In 1991 he served as president of the Entomological Society of America. After retiring from OSU in 2002, he has devoted much of his time to fly fishing and fly tying. He currently serves as president of the Clear Fork River chapter of TU and as webmaster for its website, cfrtu.org. We will also have another fly raffle at our meeting. Bring one of your favorite flies, put it on a peice of paper or a 3 x 5 note card, write your name on the paper and the name of the fly. We will put all of the flies in a bag and draw one out after the presentation. The person who has their fly drawn will win all of the flies! The meeting will be at Charlie's Taverna in Maumee. The address is 1631 Toll Gate Dr, Maumee, OH 43537. Dinner will be at 6:00 PM and the presentation will begin at 7:00. Please be there in time to place your dinner order by 6:15 if you plan on having dinner. This meeting is open to the public. Come on out! Who's attending this event?
