Submitted by Douglas-Camp on Tue, 2015-07-21 19:54 Groups audience San Luis Valley - 303 Vote Up Down 0 + Monday, August 10th, 2015 - 9:00am to Monday, August 10th, 2015 - 5:00pm Volunteers are needed to work with the US Forest Service to complete the fencing project on the Hidden Mile of the Conejos. There are two workdays scheduled. On Monday August 10th we will assist in installing the braces for the cables that will span the river for the hanging fence. These will be installed on the upper and lower boundary of the Hidden Mile. Monday August 17th we will help install the cables and assemble the hanging fences across the river. We need volunteers for both days. Turn right on the on Platoro Road and go about 4 miles. the new parking lot and gate will be on your left. Tools will be provided. Please wear work clothes, work gloves, sturdy boots, waders, sunscreen and safety glasses. Please bring lunch and water. Work will begin at 9am due to the long travel time to the project.
