Mid-Atlantic Council Meeting

Groups audience
Saturday, July 8th, 2017 - 10:00am to Monday, July 10th, 2017 - 2:00pm

The next meeting of the Mid-Atlantic Council will be held July 8th, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at Pinecliff Park in Frederick, Maryland. The meeting will be at Pavillon #2. The park is located at 8350 Pinecliff Park Road
Frederick, MD 21704. A copy of the agenda is attached. More information will be sent shortly.

We’re moving the venue so we can have a picnic for the meeting. MAC, working with a couple of chapters, will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, and other picnic food. The pavilion is only steps away from the Monacacy River. The Monacacy offers fine smallmouth and bluegill fishing and the water will be warm enough to wet wade comfortably. The park offers playgrounds for kids so plan to bring families. The plan is to streamline the meeting to allow plenty of time for food, socializing, and fishing. MAC is prohibited by TU from providing alcohol so if you want your favorite cold adult beverage it will have to be BYO.

We’ll need to get a rough headcount of those planning to attend so we get the right amount of food. I’ll ask for signups a little later on.

We have some important issues before the Council — MDE Triennial Stream Review, Hoyes Run water wells, Hampstead waste water issues, and so forth — as well as a few key administrative issues. Your attendance is strongly encouraged.
