October Chapter Meeting: Theo Pike

Groups audience
Wednesday, October 16th, 2019 - 7:30pm to Wednesday, October 16th, 2019 - 9:00pm

Theo Pike is a British author whose publications include ‘Trout in Dirty Places’ (a trailblazing guide to the UK’s urban fishing and river restoration movements) and ‘The Pocket Guide to Balsam Bashing’ (a handbook empowering people to tackle invasive non-native species).

As Chair of Trustees of the South East Rivers Trust, Theo has helped to lead the restoration of the historic River Wandle in south London, over nearly 20 years, which has also sparked enthusiasm for improving urban rivers across the rest of the UK.

He’s now working with the Wild Trout Trust as Trout in the Town Officer for the south of England and Wales, and has just launched the Trust’s newest publication, the ‘Trout in the Town Urban River Toolkit’.

Theo’s own websites can be found at www.theopike.com and www.urbantrout.net
