In Chile and specially the Coyhaique area we still enjoy great trout fishing (rainbows and browns) and consistent King salmon runs.
What makes our fisheries special, is that we don't have any tailwaters. All our flowing waters are either Spring creeks or freestone rivers. Also we have rivers that are outflows of lakes, (which in a way, we can say, they are like natural tailwaters) like the famouses rivers, Baker, Paloma and Cochrane.
