From New York’s Catskill mountains to the Pacific Northwest, TU chapters and volunteers will work together on the ground to make rivers and streams cleaner and healthier for the fish and wildlife that live in them. “As TU volunteers join together to clean up America's rivers and streams today, this national effort is a testament to the people who carry out Trout Unlimited's dedication to coldwater conservation” said Charles Gauvin, TU’s President and CEO. “For the last 50 years, TU volunteers have been working tirelessly on their home waters to protect and restore places where trout and salmon live.” Prizes will be awarded to the TU chapters who bring the most volunteers to the clean-up event, for the most trash collected from a stream and for the strangest item found in a clean-up.
