Improved Angling Opportunities at Hahns Peak Lake

Goals

Hahns Peak Lake, a small, serene lake tucked into the mountains of northern Routt County, Colorado, offers a beautiful place to camp, hike and fish for native cutthroats and rainbows. TU's goal at the lake is to increase angling opportunities for youth and special needs recreationists.

Tactics

TU is helping to construct a handicapped-accessible shoreline trail and fishing piers that will make more of the lake accessible.

Victories

This project will expand opportunities for special needs recreationists and is expected to contribute up to an additional 1,500 recreational angling days per year.
