Volunteers will learn how to effectively choose sample sites, collect benthic macroinvertebrates, identify them and calculate a benthic macroinvertebrate index water quality score for their stream. Biological sampling provides useful information in the cumulative and long term impacts shale gas development may have on water quality. To learn more or register please contact Jake Lemon, TU Eastern Shale Gas Monitoring Coordinator, at jlemon@tu.org or 814-779-3965.
