Meyers will be the featured speaker for the next general meeting of the Five Rivers Chapter of Trout Unlimited on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at the Lost Dog Bar & Grill. In addition to working as a fishing guide at Duranglers for more than two decades, Meyers has captured the essence of fishing in Southwest Colorado in books including "Lime Creek Odyssey," "Notes from the San Juans" and "San Juan River Chronicle." He has also taught English and writing at Fort Lewis College since 2000 and, in the past, worked as a ski instructor and mining electrician. Come by the Lost Dog, 1150 Main Ave., at 5:30 or so to have time for a burger and something to drink. The program will begin at 6:30.
